Learn about Legacy Giving
A legacy gift to the Albany Public Library will leave a lasting benefit for future readers. We desire to make the most of such resources and investments. Unless specified, funds will be applied to an endowment currently managed by the Oregon Community Foundation. Interest from this trust is used to help fill the gap in materials expenses and special projects when City funds are insufficient. In this way, the Library is able to continue offering excellent services despite fluctuations in economic activity.
To name the Albany Public Library in a will or trust, include a sentence similar to the following:
“I/We give and bequeath the Albany Public Library Tax ID # 93-6002114. ( specified amount, specific percentage of assets, or number of shares of stock, etc.)”
Discuss precise wording with an attorney or financial planner.
A legacy gift gives a special connection with future generations of library patrons. Thank You.
